April Plenary focuses on the EU border management policy
AmCham EU’s April Plenary meeting took place on Tuesday 26 April and focused on EU border management policy. The meeting kicked off with a panel discussion on an integrated EU border management strategy, focusing on smart borders.
Raymond B. Eby, Global Director on Public Security, 3M, Rob Rozenburg, Head of Unit, Information Systems for Borders and Security, DG HOME, European Commission and Krum Garkov, Executive Director, European agency for the operational management of large-scale IT systems in the area of freedom, security and justice (eu-LISA) took part in the discussion which was moderated by Jim Canham, Global Lead, Accenture Border Services.
This was followed by a keynote address by Belinda Pyke, Director for Migration and Mobility, Directorate-General for Migration and Home Affairs, European Commission.
