Susan Danger is CEO of the American Chamber of Commerce to the EU (AmCham EU), which speaks for American companies committed to Europe on trade, investment and competitiveness issues. She has full strategic and operational responsibility for the association and represents it externally. AmCham EU is a membership organisation supporting over 150 US corporate companies, international business, and law and consultancy firms in the area of public affairs.
Susan has dedicated her entire career to advancing transatlantic cooperation. She joined AmCham EU in 1995 as Communications Manager, becoming Communications & Operations Manager in 2000. Since 2002 she has been leading the organisation as Managing Director and since 2016 as CEO. In 2003 she oversaw the re-branding of AmCham EU and its separation from AmCham Belgium.
In 2017 AmCham EU was awarded for the fourth time the Trade Association/Professional Body of the Year Award, having previously won the award in 2009, 2012 and 2014.
Susan was named by POLITICO as one of the top 20 women influencers in Brussels in 2016.
Susan also served as Vice-Chair of AmChams in Europe from 2009 to 2014, prior to which she was a Member of its Executive Committee (2005-2008).
A graduate of the University of Bath, UK, with a BA in European Studies, French and German, Susan’s career developed in London in marketing and communications within the tour operation industry, where prior to coming to Brussels she worked for Thomson Tour Operations.

Jonathan joined AmCham EU in September 2018 as part of his studies at the University of Bath. Following his placement year, Jonathan will be returning to Bath to complete his BSc in Politics and International Relations where he will graduate in 2020.
As Management Intern, Jonathan prepares daily monitoring reports for the CEO, keeping up to date on the latest trends in EU and US affairs. He is responsible for supporting the CEO in the preparation of policy and membership briefing notes as well as in the organisation and follow-up of outreach activities, meetings and events.
Jonathan is an American, British and French national. He is fluent in English and French and has a good command of Spanish.

Roger Coelho is Policy Director at the American Chamber of Commerce to the European Union (AmCham EU), which speaks for American companies committed to Europe on trade, investment and competitiveness issues.
Mr Coelho joined AmCham EU in 2008 as Communications Officer, becoming Policy Officer in 2010. In 2012 he became Policy Manager and in June 2016 he became Acting Policy Director, with responsibility for the Advocacy and Content teams. He oversees advocacy planning and strategy as well as the creation of reports and studies. He also oversees relations with the press.
Mr Coelho holds a BA Honours degree in European Studies and Political Science from Trinity College at the University of Toronto and a MA in European Political and Administrative Studies from the College of Europe in Bruges.
Prior to joining AmCham EU, he worked at the Information and Communication Unit in DG Enlargement at the European Commission, Houston Consulting Europe (now Kreab) and at Pinnacle Public Relations in Brussels.

Ava leads AmCham EU’s Healthcare, Customs and Trade Facilitation and Competition Policy committees. As Policy Manager, she also advises the Management team on strategic issues and supports junior staff.
Before joining AmCham EU in 2014, Ava worked at the European Commission in the Directorate for Development and Cooperation, and previously interned at the Greater London Authority’s European Office, United Nations Inter Press Service, and the Motion Picture Association.
Ava holds a joint M.Sc. from the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE) and London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine and a B.Sc. from University College London (UCL).
Ava is a British national. She is fluent in English, French and Spanish, and has a basic knowledge of German.
Public Affairs Manager

As Public Affairs Manager, Thibaut advises on overall advocacy strategy and leads AmCham EU’s outreach to the press. He crafts the external messaging of the Chamber and produces a range of policy materials, including speaking points and speeches. Thibaut also manages key projects, such as campaigns and studies.
Prior to this, Thibaut served as Executive Assistant to the Managing Director until September 2016. He supported and advised the Managing Director and worked closely with AmCham EU’s Board of Directors and senior management. Thibaut returned to AmCham EU in October 2014, having first joined in 2013 as Communications Intern.
Thibaut holds a Master’s degree in European Politics from the Institut d’études européennes and a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science from the Université libre de Bruxelles (ULB). He also studied at the Vrije Universiteit Brussel (VUB) and McGill University in Canada.
Thibaut is a Belgian national. He is fluent in English and French, and has a good command of Dutch.

Timothy joined AmCham EU in March 2015 and is a Senior Policy Adviser, responsible for international relations and trade.
Prior to joining AmCham EU, Timothy was a Research Associate at the Elliott School of International Affairs at The George Washington University, Washington, DC. Previously, he was an assistant to an MEP in the European Parliament.
Timothy is a Master of Arts graduate from the Elliott School of International Affairs at The George Washington University, where he majored in International Affairs. He received his Bachelor’s degree in Political Science from Newcastle University, UK.

Maika joined AmCham EU in October 2016, and is a Senior Policy Adviser for the Digital Economy and Intellectual Property committees.
Prior to this, she worked for the Brussels-based trade association CEEP (European Center for Employers and Enterprises Providing Public Services) on internal market policy. She also gained experience at the European Commission Directorate-General for Energy and the European Affairs office of General Electric.
Maika holds a BA and a MA in European affairs from the Institute for Political Studies of Lille (Sciences Po Lille) and a MA in European Administrative and Political Studies from the College of Europe in Bruges.

Stefano joined AmCham EU in October 2016 as a Policy Adviser for the Financial Services, Tax and Institutional Affairs Committees. He also covers the newly-established Sustainable Finance Task Force.
Prior to joining AmCham EU, Stefano worked as a consultant for Kreab advising clients on financial services issues. He also completed traineeships at the European Parliament and at the European Commission Representation in the UK.
Stefano holds a Bachelor of Arts in European Studies from Royal Holloway, University of London and a Master of Science in European Public Policy from University College London (UCL).

Edward joined AmCham EU in October 2018. As Content Adviser, he is responsible for supporting policy content and ensuring consistent messaging across the organisation. He works across teams and with members to coordinate the production of high-quality, concise and clearly written content, such as speeches, speaking points, position papers, studies, reports, briefs, publications, op-eds and other projects.
Before joining AmCham EU, Edward was a Senior Project Manager at Eagle Investment Systems, executing projects centred on advancing Eagle’ strategic priorities while strengthening alignment with parent company BNY Mellon. He also supported global internal corporate communications, developing content and ensuring consistent messaging.
Edward is currently finalising his Master’s degree from the University of Kent’s Brussels School of International Studies. He also holds a Bachelor’s dual degree in Political Science and International Affairs from Northeastern University in Boston, Massachusetts, USA.
Edward is a dual British and American national. He is currently learning French.

Prior to joining AmCham EU, Emilie gained hands-on experience as a trainee in the European Parliament’s Co-decision Unit and as a National Campaign Assistant at the Dutch Labour Party. As a student, she also worked in Florence as campaign organiser and as Data Analysis Intern at a London-based NGO.
Emilie holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Politics from the University of Florence, a MSc in Democracy and Comparative Politics at University College London and a MA in EU Politics at the College of Europe in Bruges.

As Communications and Outreach Director Maggy oversees the communications and stakeholder outreach of AmCham EU. The team is responsible for : external relations strategy – stakeholders and outreach; designing and implementing strategies to recruit and retain members; sales and sponsorship; events; marketing; internal communications and audience engagement.
Maggy Peeters joined AmCham EU in January 2013 as Events & PR Manager.
Prior to joining AmCham EU Maggy worked for 6 years at an entity of the Federation of Enterprises in Belgium (VBO-FEB) called European Business Forum (EBF), which is the organiser of the European Business Summit and several key European events. During the Belgian EU Presidency EBF was also in charge of the organisation of several EU business summits (EU China, EU India, AEBF – Asia Europe Business Forum) in close collaboration with the Federal Public Service Foreign Affairs, BUSINESSEUROPE and the European Institutions. She has also been an active member of the board of advisers of AIESEC in Belgium and a board member of AIESEC Alumni in Belgium.
Maggy holds a Masters' degree in Business Management from EHSAL in Brussels. In addition to this she has a post-graduate degree in Project Management from EMS, studied Macro Economics at Cornell University, International Marketing and Business Communication at Harvard University, and followed a protocol course of the United Nations.
Maggy is a Belgian national. She is fluent in Dutch, English and French, and has a basic knowledge of German and Spanish.

Prior to joining AmCham EU, Jelena completed a traineeship in the European Parliament in the European Union Visitors Programme. Jelena also worked as Business Development Assistant in Stantec, an international consultancy focusing on EU projects.
Jelena holds a Bachelor’s degree in Modern Languages applied to Business and Economics, a Master’s degree in International Commercial Negotiations from the Sorbonne Nouvelle University in Paris. She has a second Master’s degree in EU International Relations and Diplomacy Studies from the College of Europe in Bruges.
Jelena is a Latvian national. She is also fluent in English, French and Russian, and has a good command of Italian. She also has a (very) basic knowledge of Chinese.

As Senior Communications Specialist, Brigit is responsible for external communications, using digital communications, targeted campaigns, social media, and the production of infographics and videos to further AmCham EU's advocacy work.
Previously Brigit worked at global public relations firm FleishmanHillard in Brussels, focused on major energy clients. She was also a trainee at the German Marshall Fund of the United States, a transatlantic think tank, and at the European Parliament Press Service in Brussels.
Brigit holds a Bachelor’s degree in Global Studies and French from the University of Minnesota and a Master’s degree in EU International Relations and Diplomacy Studies from the College of Europe in Bruges.

Wendy joined AmCham in August 2018 as graphic designer specialist.
Previously she was graphic designer at WinWin Visual Communications, where she designed and implemented solutions to help guide people in different settings.
She studied in Paris and graduated in graphic design with a focus on communication and print media. During her studies she worked as a design and production trainee at Gemalto SA. She was responsible for creating a large range of communications for both internal and external clients as well as being involved in communications for worldwide events.
Wendy has experience in both international and local companies.

Stephanie joined AmCham EU as Member Relations Adviser in April 2018. She is responsible for maintaining and developing membership within AmCham EU.
Prior to joining AmCham EU, Stephanie worked at the Association for Financial Markets in Europe (AFME), focusing on financial services advocacy in Brussels and Europe. There she was responsible for helping manage membership, events, and supporting the Managing Director in AFME’s advocacy efforts.
Stephanie holds a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science and a second in International Studies from the University of Florida and a Master’s degree in Political Science from the Université Libre de Bruxelles.

Carine Pauly joined AmCham EU in September 1999. She provides technical and administrative support.
She is responsible for CRM development and maintenance, network administration, IT training and support, automation of administrative and general office tasks, and co-operating with external vendors on various projects such as the pc park upgrade and the revamp of the website.
She has a degree in Office Management and a degree in Computer Networks and a Webmaster certificate.

Before joining AmCham EU, Françoise worked for two and a half years at Friends of Europe, an independent Brussels-based think tank, where she managed high-level events such as the annual State of Europe Roundtable. Previously, she worked for one year in Morocco for an Italian NGO on women's rights.
Françoise holds a Master's degree in Law and Policies of the European integration from the Autonomous University of Barcelona, the University of Milan, the University of Montpellier I and the University of Stettin. Previously, she studied International Relations at the University of Bologna.
She speaks Italian, English and French and has knowledge of Spanish.

Genevieve joined AmCham EU in September 2018 as a market engagement intern. She is currently studying for her undergraduate degree, reading Politics and International Relations at the University of Bath.

Max joined AmCham EU in November 2014 as Operations Director. Prior to joining AmCham EU, Max worked the preceding two years at the European Wind Energy Association (EWEA) as Head of the Business Operations (initially, he was the Financial controller). Max worked as external auditor for PwC Argentina for five years before relocating to Belgium. In Brussels, he continued his professional experience at PwC for five years before becoming Internal audit supervisor at TE Connectivity.
Max is a Chartered accountant from the University of La Matanza (Buenos Aires, Argentina) and also graduated from the Executive Master in Management at Solvay Business School.
Max has both Belgian and Argentinean nationalities. He is fluent in English and Spanish, and has a working knowledge of French.

Rosaria Sciaccaluga joined AmCham EU in August 1990 as Junior Secretary responsible for sending out mailings to the members. In 1993, Rosaria joined the Communications Department and she was responsible for the distribution and sale of all AmCham EU publications. In 1998 she joined the Policy Team as Secretary and her position changed to Events Coordinator/Administrative Assistant.
Rosa is an Italian national. She is fluent in English and French.
