Susan Danger participates in panel debate at International Interns Day conference

13 Nov 2015

On 10 November 2015, Susan Danger, Managing Director of AmCham EU, participated in a panel debate at the International Interns Day conference. Seven events took place around the world for the first ever ‘international day’.

The panel, composed of representatives from the business community and the European Parliament, discussed key issues relating to internships, including remuneration, training and team integration.

Susan stressed that AmCham EU is delighted to hold the InternsGoPro ‘Excellent’ rating for the quality of its internships, and committed to continue to promote the label on the AmCham EU website and staff email signatures.

AmCham EU as an organisation is proud to serve as an example of “best practice” in providing a high proportion of paid internships every year and ensuring that each intern has an induction programme, written agreement, job description as well as training and many other benefits during the course of the internship. Susan agreed with other panellists on the role that internships play in terms of a significant and valuable learning experience and the value this plays in career-building.
