The Consumer Affairs Committee takes the lead in monitoring and influencing several consumer-related issues on the EU’s agenda, and represents a wide cross-section of consumer-facing sectors. The committee advocates for the simplification and effective implementation of and enforcement of existing EU consumer rules. The committee aims to create a harmonised balance between industry and the consumer to achieve shared goals.
