Ambassador Gitenstein served as the US Ambassador to Romania from 2009 to 2012 under the Obama Administration. As a renowned lawyer, he also worked for 17 years in the US Senate in several roles, including Counsel to the Select Committee on Intelligence. Most recently, he held the position of Senior Counsel at Mayer Brown LLP.

On Tuesday, 1 February, The Honorable Mark Gitenstein, US Ambassador to the EU, met with Susan Danger, CEO, AmCham EU, to discuss key priorities for the American business community in Europe. Implementing the EU-US Joint Statement
With the EU having formally adopted the tariff reductions agreed under the EU-US Framework Agreement, the two sides now have an opportunity to enter a new phase.
