In the spotlight: youth entrepreneurship
The annual AmCham EU Youth Entrepreneurship Award is a key initiative of the Executive Council. In partnership with JA Europe, the award celebrates young European entrepreneurs and provides them with funding and mentorship opportunities from senior business leaders. Through the award, the Executive Council supports the next generation of innovators driving Europe’s competitiveness. BioBliss (Bulgaria) wins by transforming organic waste into eco-friendly button-cell batteries for portable electronics.
Tiaki (United Kingdom) took first place by designing protective sportswear that reduces breast injuries in contact sports.
AMIRA Meditech (Bulgaria) came first by providing software that optimises antibiotic prescriptions in hospitals.
By programming and installing energy-efficient electrical systems and solar technologies, Energy Effective Solutions (Sweden) took first place.
Paramate (Norway), developing sensors and software to monitor hydrogen sulfide levels in fish farms, took home first place.
Saana (Belgium) won by providing a personalised nutrition platform that supports cancer patients throughout treatment and recovery.
eAgronom (Estonia) won over the judges by helping farmers improve productivity through digital tools.
Bioo (Spain) won first place by generating electricity from plants through a sustainable biological system.
Oculus (Romania) was the winner with their device that provides essential aid and safety to visually impaired people.
MeetingPackage.com (Finland) took first place by providing an online platform that simplifies the booking and comparison of meeting venues.
COOL4SEA (Denmark) won by developing thermodynamic and energy-efficient technologies for the maritime industry.
PYNK SYSTEMS (Spain), a start-up developing ergonomic and smart office desks, came first.
Real Impact Analytics (Belgium) won the first edition of the Youth Entrepreneurship Award.
