One day left: calling all communicators

We want YOU! AmCham EU will soon launch a new series bringing our members and staff together with those who are working on all things communications. The goal is to share ideas and best practices, as well as brainstorm new approaches and gain a better overall understanding of the distinctive nature of communications in the EU. Want to participate? We are looking for volunteers from our members who would like to share their expertise. Please send your name, title and company, along with the topic or idea you would like to discuss, to Alex Vasey (ave@amchameu.eu) by Friday, 14 January.

What’s the big idea?

With these sessions, we hope to offer the following to participants:

  • Gain a better understanding of new trends in communications and provide a training opportunity to improve skills;
  • Bridge the gap between technical policy work and new influence tools;
  • Brainstorm ideas and identify new concepts;
  • Increase visibility and improve quality across the AmCham EU communications channels;
  • Provide a networking opportunity for members and like-minded professionals; and
  • Educate about the work undertaken by communications teams in AmCham EU and members.

The sessions, done in a hybrid format, would broadly address policy communications and public affairs. On a more granular level, they could be directly focused on things such as: data visualisation; media outreach; use of analytics to improve results and drive decision making; video content and production; podcasts and other forms of new media; creative storytelling; crisis communications; executive communications; blogs and websites; newsletters; new trends from the B2C world and advertising; and more.

What happens next? AmCham EU will make a recommendation on proposed speakers and topics before deciding on the first round of discussions. Once the list of speakers and topics has been refined, the first session will be scheduled in early 2022 with a cadence of one every quarter.

Depending on the number of requests, we may not be able to accommodate more than one presenter per organisation and presenters may be asked to combine with presenters from one or more organisations.
