Celebrating our 2025 Gala

On Thursday, 12 June AmCham EU held our Gala 2025 which brought together over 300 guests. After an opening cocktail reception, Malte Lohan, CEO, AmCham EU welcomed guests to the Africa Palace. Afterwards, Roberta Metsola, President, European Parliament gave a keynote address on the future of Europe and the strength of the transatlantic relationshipLiam Benham (Boeing), Chair, AmCham EU then took to the stage, before Norman Thatcher Scharpf, Chargé d’Affaires, U.S. Mission to the European Union underlined the importance of strong EU-US ties. Nikola Meeuwsen, First Prize, 2025 Queen Elisabeth Competition also took to the stage to perform. The celebrations were capped off with a presentation of the AmCham EU Youth Entrepreneurship Award to BioBliss. Couldn’t make it? Here’s what you missed.   

Taking place at the Africa Palace in Tervuren, the festivities began with remarks from Malte Lohan, CEO, AmCham EU and Liam Benham (Boeing), Chair, AmCham EU. Following this, Roberta Metsola, President, European Parliament gave a keynote to officially kick off the evening. Emphasising the Europe is open for business, she set the scene for the evening. 

The audience then enjoyed a piano performance from Nikola Meeuwsen, First Prize Piano 2025, Queen Elisabeth Competition. Capping off the evening was this year’s AmCham EU Youth Entrepreneurship Award, in collaboration with JA Europe. Julie Teigland, Global Vice Chair, Alliances and Ecosystems and EMEIA Area Managing Partner, EY joined us to present the winner of this year’s AmCham EU Youth Entrepreneurship Award to BioBliss
