Exploring transatlantic ties at AmCham Luxembourg
On Tuesday 2 December, Thibaut L’Ortye, Senior Director of Public Affairs, AmCham EU presented The Transatlantic Economy 2025 report at AmCham Luxembourg’s Transatlantic Trade and Investment event. Stacey Feinberg, US Ambassador to Luxembourg highlighted the strong ties between Luxembourg and the US, with over 150,000 people employed thanks to the partnership. During his section, Mr L’Ortye presented the results of the report, with a particular focus on the resiliency of the EU-US relationship. Despite differing views on certain issues, the transatlantic partnership remains the most integrated in the world, directly responsible for 16 million jobs and one third of global GDP.

Strengthening ties: AmCham EU welcomes Ambassador Andrew Puzder
On Monday, 5 December 2025, AmCham EU hosted the Honorable Andrew Puzder, United States Ambassador to the European Union, for an evening marking his first few months in Brussels. The reception opened with remarks from Liam Benham (Boeing), Chair and Malte Lohan, CEO, AmCham EU Ambassador Puzder shared his initial impressions and outlined his priorities for the US Mission to the EU. With over 200 attendees, we concluded the evening with an informal networking session featuring US-themed food and refreshments, offering further opportunity for open dialogue and connection with the Ambassador and his team.

Meeting with Deputy Secretary Landau to advance transatlantic cooperation
On Tuesday, 2 December, AmCham EU took part in a roundtable discussion with Christopher Landau, US Deputy Secretary of State. With the implementation of the EU-US Framework Agreement moving forward, the discussions focused on building a more stable and competitive transatlantic business environment. Participants discussed the importance of an open Single Market and the urgency to move ahead with the EU’s work on simplification. The exchange also underlined the value of the transatlantic marketplace as a springboard for American companies to compete globally. Strengthening the partnership makes both sides more resilient and better positioned to respond to strategic challenges, including those posed by non-market economies.
