On Thursday, 23 March, AmCham EU’s Gender Initiatives Task Force hosted an informal panel discussion on women and entrepreneurship.

Representatives from industry and the European Commission discussed obstacles to female entrepreneurship, such as access to capital, entrepreneurial education and social messaging. All participants agreed on the importance of support networks, flexible financing and inclusive workplace culture to realising economic growth and social progress through women entrepreneurs.

The panel, moderated by Susan Danger, CEO, AmCham EU, featured: Ingrid Devin, Director of the Dell Women's Entrepreneur Network (DWEN), Dell EMC; Rebeca de Sancho Mayoral, Project Manager at the European Executive Agency for SMEs (EASME), European Commission; and Andrea Sullivan, Head of International Global Environment, Social & Governance, Bank of America Merrill Lynch.
