Kim Watts, Senior Policy Manager, AmCham EU has been appointed as Member of the Board of the Society of European Affairs Professionals (SEAP). In her new position, Kim will help to represent the voice of public affairs professionals in Brussels and contribute to SEAP's work programme for the new term. As a long-standing member of SEAP, AmCham EU fully embodies the organisation’s values of integrity, transparency and accuracy in our advocacy work. AmCham EU has always aimed to work to the highest standards of integrity and transparency in its relations with the EU institutions.

On Wednesday, 28 January, Thibaut L'Ortye, Senior Director of Public Affairs, represented AmCham EU at the launch of Hanover Communications’ Power Shift series. On Tuesday, 27 January, AmCham EU was joined by senior journalists from Bloomberg, EURACTIV, the Financial Times, and POLITICO to explore the issues set to dominate the headlines in 2026. The reporters first took stock of what has happened in the past weeks – a year already marked by instability, policy uncertainty and a deteriorating transatlantic relationship, before turning to the consequences of these shifts. Afterwards they examined deepening geopolitical fragmentation and the realignment of global trade, and how these trends are reshaping competitiveness and policy priorities.
