Today, women account for about 25 percent of graduates in STEM. When it comes to ICT, just 3 percent of graduates are female. These numbers are particularly concerning considering the rising demand for digital and ICT skills in Europe and around the world. This Gender Initiatives breakfast will scope out ways to increase ICT skills for girls and women and fight gender imbalance in the ICT sector. We will also explore the potential of partnerships between industry, educational and public actors throughout the skills development process.
Speakers include:
• |
Manuela Catrina, State Secretary for ICT, Romanian Ministry for Information and Communication Society; |
• |
Aliki Foinikopoulou, Director, EU Government Affairs and Public Policy, Salesforce;
|
• |
Vessela Karloukovska, Digital Economy and Skills Unit, DG CONNECT, European Commission; |
The panel will be moderated by Goedele van der Linden, Director of Government Relations for Europe, Marsh and McLennan Companies.
|
We encourage all female attendees to bring a male colleague guest.
Please inform us of any additional guests.

A light breakfast will be provided
