AmCham EU continues to be heavily engaged in conversations to strengthen the transatlantic economic relationship. From hosting a reception to welcome new US Ambassador to the EU, Gordon D. Sondland last month, to hosting representatives from the US Department of Commerce and other officials for a series of meetings, AmCham EU remains an important bridge and trusted policy partner for the EU and the US at a time of both challenge and opportunity.

Following the successful summit between EU Commission President Jean-Claude Juncker and US President Donald Trump in July, we are now preparing our contributions to the newly established EU-US Executive Working Group. The two sides are seeking business input as they would like to make rapid progress in a number of areas. To this end, we are updating our position paper on EU-US regulatory cooperation to provide critical business input and will continue to meet with EU and US officials and stakeholders in the coming months to move the conversation forward.
