The American Chamber of Commerce to the European Union (AmCham EU)
is now hiring a

Policy Officer (full-time/paid)

 

Job Description:
Responsible for the day-to-day coordination of two AmCham EU policy-specific committees and the Executive Council, AmCham EU’s ‘European CEO’ group.  The Policy Officer acts as a focal point for all group activities.  He/she facilitates development of positions amongst AmCham EU committees; develops and implements plans to promote these positions through a range of activities (meetings, events, publications, media) and manages relationships with members and advocacy targets.

Qualifications/Skills/
Experience  Required:
Degree and/or work experience in European Affairs; strong organisational and administrative skills, maturity, excellent interpersonal and communications skills and diplomacy. Experience working with senior executives a plus. Knowledge of employment, social and consumer affairs issues an advantage.

Languages:   
Fluent English (both written and spoken); French an advantage.

Other:
Candidate must be very well organised, have an eye for detail, be able to keep to deadlines, be computer literate and work well in a small, dynamic team. Candidate must be able to work well with many internal and external stakeholders, including executives.

Start date:    
Mid-April
